Mark J. Nowak, 38, of Worcester passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in UMass Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave., North. He is survived by his mother, Janina Nowak; his sister Margaret Nowak, brother Peter Nowak, and niece Maria Nowak, all of Worcester. He is predeceased by his father, Kazimierz Nowak.
Born in Worcester, Mr. Nowak attended St. Mary's School and Worcester Vocational Technical School. He worked for Abbvie Company with environmental services. He was a free spirit who was passionate about music and was an accomplished drummer. He also enjoyed writing fictional stories.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Thursday, September 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
